Correct Staffing Agency is proud to partner with the newest Care Home in Sechelt BC to find a passionate and skilled Social Worker & Wellness Manager who will champion holistic care, compassionate communication, and wellness-first practices.
Your Purpose-Driven Role:
As the Social Worker & Wellness Manager, you’ll wear two important hats, contributing meaningfully to both resident well-being and team health. In this role, you will:
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide compassionate support during move-in, care planning, and end-of-life transitions.
- Coordinate resident care conferences and strengthen collaboration between families, care teams, and community agencies.
- Support residents with financial advocacy, liaising with the Public Trustee, Social Services, and other networks.
- Guide ethical conversations, promoting respectful, informed decision-making.
- Lead workplace wellness initiatives with the General Manager to foster a thriving, resilient, and engaged team.
About You:
You are a skilled communicator, a natural problem-solver, and a calm presence in moments of crisis. You thrive in collaborative, interdisciplinary settings and are deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and supporting those who care for them.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Active Registration with the BC College of Social Workers (required)
- Minimum 2 years experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting
- Strong knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation, ethical frameworks, and legislative requirements
- Excellent counselling, advocacy, and crisis intervention skills
- Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Valid Driver’s License
